Among the many consequences of climate change, the growing prevalence of mould within homes is often overlooked.

Increasingly wet, humid and hot climates in many regions facilitate the spread of mould, while hurricanes and floods (particularly common in Central America and the southeastern US) make the problem even worse.

Exposure to mould can lead to a host of health issues, including wheezing, throat irritation and asthma. Nevertheless, as more and more households are exposed to extreme weather, mould looks set to become a bigger issue in the coming years.
